Dr. Short and the entire team at Short Orthodontics are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment.

Our team members are trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. All of our clinical assistants are “Certified Dental Assistants”, and are registered with the state of New Jersey. Our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Steph

Practice Manager

Steph journeyed into orthodontics following a long career in healthcare management.  When she isn’t spending time with her family you can usually find her at the beach or in the crowds of a concert.

Patty

Treatment Coordinator

Patty has worked with Dr Nehmad and Dr Short for a combined 31 years—-now enjoying the children of former patients becoming patients! Among Patty’s favorite things outside of work include being out of doors, reading, spending time her family, and foremost being a grandmom to her new grandson Teddy.

Brynn

Orthodontic Assistant

Brynn has been an orthodontic assistant since 2013. Her favorite part about her job is making people smile. When not at work, Brynn enjoys playing with her puppy, walks on the beach, and cooking.

Gina

Orthodontic Assistant

Gina has worked in the orthodontic field since 2010. She is a mother to 2 wonderful children. Outside of work she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.

Dawn

Clinical Assistant

Dawn has been in the orthodontic field since 1999. She has had the pleasure of living and working on four different continents giving her a great perspective on life. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys going to the dog park with her dog Maverick.

Jalina

Financial Coordinator

Jalina was a patient of Dr. Short’s prior to joining our team. She is in her final year at Stockton University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and animals.

Jasmin

Orthodontic Assitant

Jasmin is an orthodontic assistant who is still quite new to the orthodontic field. She loves to work and see the beautiful transformations that come with the job! In her free time she enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, and cooking.

Sherri

Orthodontic Assitant

Sherri has been in the dental field for more than 20 years but is fairly new to the orthodontic world. She loves to interact with her patients and feels that she has finally found her professional purpose. Sherri is a proud wife and mother of three extremely busy teenagers. When she is not cheering on the sidelines of a soccer field or at a dance convention she enjoys spending her free time with friends, family and their two dogs.

Alicia

Orthodontic Assitant

Alicia has been an orthodontic assistant since 2006. She has two dogs, Diesel and Allie that she enjoys playing with. She especially loves to spend time with her family camping and doing other fun outdoor activities.
